LOWER COLUMBIA SCHOOL GARDENS
Cultivating the values of lifelong learning, sustainability, health, and community.
Our small but mighty team has not been able to update this page in quite some time. Much of the info is still accurate, but some of it has changed. For more current info about specific gardens or our programs, please reach out to us at info@lcschoolgardens.org or call / text 360-200-8918. We thank you!.
The PTO and community, with the help of Lower Columbia School Gardens, have come together to bring a 7000 sq. ft. garden to Kelso's Huntington Middle School.
The garden teaches the values of hard work, environmental stewardship, and a healthier lifestyle. Integrating the garden with the academics of science, math, and home & family health provides kids the possibility of pride of ownership.
There is much enthusiasm among volunteers and staff to provide a hands-on learning experience for the students.
